Parkmobile Comes to St. Pete Beach

Guests can now use a mobile application to pay for meter parking at St. Pete Beach.

Beachgoes can leave loose change in the cup holder and pay for meter parking at St. Pete Beach with the Parkmobile application.

City Manager Mike Bonfield reports that within its first weekend of operation, 150 transactions took place. The first payment made by phone was placed within nine minutes after officials placed stickers on meters, he said.

Currently the system is only available for meter parking. Coin operated meters are located along Pass-A-Grille Way, Gulf Winds Drive, Sunset Way, 51st, 64th, and 66th Avenues.

The City will be interfacing the new Parkmobile system with the multi-space pay stations in the near future, Bonfield said.
