Gulf Beaches Historical Museum is located in the first church built on the barrier islands of Pinellas County. Not only are the artifacts inside fascinating but so is the building itself. The museum exhibits the history of the barrier islands through pictures, newspaper articles and artifacts like old fishing equipment and seashells. You can stop in after a trip to the beach and enjoy the history of where you are. Browse through the history and see real antique boat anchors, fishing rods and many other nautical artifacts.
