Crime Stoppers Ride the Coast Saturday

The Crime Stoppers of Pinellas are performing a non-stop motorcycle run up the beaches this Saturday.

If you happen to see a large group of motorcycle riders on Gulf Boulevard this Saturday, don't panic. They're out riding to help stop crime.

Crime Stoppers of Pinellas is having their first Coast Riders motorcycle run this Saturday, starting at 8 a.m.

The ride will start out at the Tierra Verde Resort Marina and will continue northward 31 miles to Coachman Park in Clearwater.

The entire ride will be non-stop and escorted by police, so riders will be able to enjoy cruising along Gulf Boulevard.

After the ride, there will be live music and food in Coachman Park with all proceeds going to benefit the Crime Stoppers. A raffle will be held for a 2012
Harley-Davidson FXDC Dyna Super Glide Custom as well.

There's also a pre-party on Friday at 7 p.m. at , which will feature  live music, drink specials and discounted room rates for riders.

Crime Stoppers of Pinellas is a non-profit group of community focused individuals who coordinate with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office in an effort to deter crime in Pinellas county.

If you have a motorcycle and are interested in riding, the cost is $25 per rider and $10 per passenger. Veterans and police won't have any charge for passengers. on-line registration is recommended, and the first 100 that register will receive an event t-shirt.
