Adoptables at Risk: Paris Needs a Family

Paris is a lovely blak and white pitbull mix who needs a home quickly. She's been at Pinellas County Animal Services since March 12.

Patch has partnered with Pinellas County Animal Services to bring our readers Adoptables at Risk, a weekly column that highlights dogs and cats that have overstayed at the county shelter and are in immediate need of a forever home.

The shelter has limited space and must get pets adopted in a timely manner to free up kennels.

Paris has been at Pinellas County Animal Shelter since March 12th, which is part of the reason she's getting demodex, a skin condition that is easily treatable, according to Pinellas County Animal Services volunteer Lindsey Martin.

Her demodex is currently being treated and will go away quickly once she gets into a forever home.

Paris loves to run, have fun and can fit in perfectly with anyone with an active lifestyle. Her hight energy is part of the reason that Paris may be getting overlooked.

Even though Paris enjoys a good romp, she's also is a snuggle girl and loves to be showered with affection.

How to Adopt

Paris is ready to go to her forever home. Adoption costs $35 and includes the first set of shots, spaying or neutering, a collar and leash, a bag of food and a toy for the dog. We've attached an adoption form (PDF) to make it easy.

Adopt Paris, and we will feature your photo with your new pet on Patch, too!

How to Help

If you can't adopt, but still want to help, Animal Serivces always needs volunteers.

Contact Kelli Becraft at kbecraft@co.pinellas.fl.us for more information.

If you want to see other animals available for adoption, Pinellas County Animal Services will be having an event at the Largo Mall this Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. showcasing some adorable pets.

Patch also will host an event at the shelter next month. Check back next week for the next installment of Adoptables at Risk and learn more about it!

She still needs to find a good home. Each week that an Adoptable at Risk isn't adopted, we'll keep listing them!
