Jason Koch, of St. Petersburg, was looking to make his proposal memorable. By utlizing the JetLev, a water-based jetpack, at the Tradewinds, he met his goal.
Koch asked his girlfriend to marry him by pairing up with the Tradewinds and using the JetLev and a big finish, according to Tampa Bay Newspapers.
Koch had a dream about using the JetLev to ask his girlfriend, Julia Ladnova, the big question. When he asked the Tradewinds to help him out with it, they agreed and helped he make the preparations to do it.
On the day Koch planned to propose, he set up a scavenger hunt of Ladnova's favorite things, ending with not telling her to get in a swimsuit and to prepare for the "ride of her life".
When Julia got out to the Tradewinds and started using the JetLev, Koch, dressed in a full tuxedo, hopped on a jetski and made his way to the JetLev boat.
When Ladnova descended to the water and got back on the boat, she found Koch waiting for her, with music playing and flowers strewn across the boat. Koch dropped to one knee and asked her th big question, which she said yes to.
Koch and Ladnova are planning to get married on June 29 in Daugavpils, Latvia.
