Construction on the replacements for the Capri Isle Bridge has been pushed back to January 28.
Work for the replacement of the Palm Isle Bridges is expected to begin at the end of February as well.
Both of the new bridges will be built at the same time, and the old bridges will be demolished as soon as the south half of the new bridges are completed.
A 200-ton crane will be assembled beginning the night of Tuesday, January 29
Construction will affect traffic on 112th and 116th Avenues and traffic will share one lane throughout the entirety of the project, which is expected to last 10 months.
Construction hours will be 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday with work on Saturdays only when there has been weather delays during the week.
A sidewalk will be open throughout the construction for pedestrians and bicyclists.
The bridges are expected to be open for traffic in October 2013.
