Madeira Beach is looking to get $2.5 million from the damages done by the BP oil spill.

Like all beaches, Madeira Beach lost revenue from the BP oil spill. Now, they've decided how much it was and put in a claim for it.

Madeira Beach is seek $2.5 million in damages done by the BP oil spill, according the Beach Beacon.

An attorney hired by the city assessed the damages and came up with the number, which was presented by City Attorney Thomas Trask.
