Madeira Beach's Archibald Beach Park is ready to undergo a $900,000 makeover.

Among the changes slated for the park are new pay stations for parking, about 10 more parking spots, more windows for the Snack Shack, turtle-friendly lights and more, TBO.com reports.

The Madeira Beach Board of Commissioners was scheduled to choose a contractor for the work at its Tuesday meeting, according to TBO.

The park will remain open during the refurbishing, which should take about 280 days, TBO reports.
