Automated Parking Comes to Madeira Beach

Twelve city-owned lots in Madeira Beach will be getting new pay stations in March.

Madeira Beach is installing new pay stations in twelve of their parking lots to replace their parking meters, according to the Beach Beacon

The new pay stations will be able to take debit or credit card, or coins. Madeira Beach officials were advised that mechanism that takes paper money can be damaged in a beach environment.

The plan is to have the pay stations installed by March, starting with the John's Pass Village area and moving northward.
