Seven-Year-Old Drowns at Pass-A-Grille

The young boy was found floating in the water Sunday evening.

A seven-year-old boy drowned in the Gulf off of Pass-A-Grille Sunday evening, according to ABC Action News.

The boy was found floating in the Gulf, at around 16th Avenue, Sunday evening. 

He was brought to shore, where CPR was performed on him. Emergency crews arrived and continued to try to revive him.

He was transported to All Children's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The child's mother was at the beach with him, according to Bay News 9.

We originally listed the age at six, but it has now been confirmed that the child was seven.

Everyone has to pay for beach access and yet there are no lifeguards. There should be a least one lifeguard station in each town.

A flag system should be used indicating when it is safe to swim and when it is not.
