OMG PD: Robber Likes His Bud (Light), Bank Robber Gets Away With – Nothing

We compile 'oh my gosh' police reports from the Tampa Bay region.

A Christmas Eve robber who apparently enjoys his brand of beer broke into the same Walgreens twice in one night. And he got away. On the first trip, he made off with Budweiser beer and cigarettes.

Later, he broke into the pharmacy and tried to steal pain medication, according to a press release from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

According to the release, on Dec. 24, at 1:29 a.m., a man between 30 and 40 years of age smashed the door of Walgreens, 3890 Van Dyke Road in Lutz.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help to identify a bank burglar they say breaks in after-hours and then leaves without taking anything from his crime scenes.

The serial burglar has so far been connected to nine burglaries in three separate counties. In the two Hillsborough cases, the man broke into his target banks and left without anything to show for his efforts.
