March Against Monsanto & World Food Day Rally

March Against Monsanto St. Petersburg will be gathering on Oct 12th, for the second time, in a local and global “March Against Monsanto”. The event and subsequent march will start at 12:00 p.m. in front of St. Petersburg City Hall (175 5th St N, St. Petersburg). This global event drew over two million people to support the cause on May 25, 2013. 

This event and subsequent March will start at 12:00p.m. on the steps of the St. Petersburg City Hall (175 5th St N, St. Petersburg) and end in the same place. 

Tami Monroe Canal, lead organizer of the international event, says she was inspired to start the movement to protect her two daughters. “I feel Monsanto threatens their generation’s health, fertility and longevity. I couldn't sit by idly, waiting for someone else to do something.” 
Our mission is to spread information and create awareness, locally and globally. We want people to be informed about the important issue of concern over GMO’s and the importance of having choices available.
