ABOUT BOATING SAFELY

Have a boat? Thinking of buying a boat? Ever taken a safe boating class?  Would you know what to do in an emergency?  The US Coast Guard Auxiliary of Madeira Beach teaches safe boating classes the first Saturday of each month.  The next class is AUGUST 3,2013.  Learn knots, proper fueling methods, navigating the waters, mooring your vessel, items you must have on board, reading charts, using a marine radio and much, much more!  All classes are taught by experienced Auxiliary members.  It is now the law: if you were born on or BEFORE January 1, 1988 you MUST have a boating certification and valid ID while operating a vessel with 10 HP or more!!
