Lucky Duck Survives Arrow in Its Neck (VIDEO)

After a crossbow bolt is removed from his neck, Quackers is on the way to a full recovery.

Quackers is one lucky duck.

Found with a crossbow bolt through his neck last week, Quackers was picked up by Pinellas County Animal Services and taken into surgery, where the arrow was removed. 

Pinellas County Animal Control Officer John Hobson had joined forces with Damen Hurd and Derrick Ross of Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation in Bradenton to rescue the duck, which was in a St. Petersburg pond.

Since his surgery, Quackers is now on the way to a recovery and is expected to make the move from Animal Services to Loving Care Animal Hospital in Largo sometime Thursday.

Quackers will stay at Loving Care until he's completely recovered, at which time he will be released back into the wild.
