Jewel Trades Treats for Hugs

Meet Jewel and friends at Pinellas County Animal Services.

Meet Jewel (#287644). This two year old pit bull terrier mix is a real supermodel – she posed for the camera right on the first shot! As with other supermodels, she’s a svelte 44 pounds, and is possibly mixed with a Shepherd. She’s also a show off, taking her treats around to show them off in exchange for being petted. Yes, she’s a real show stopper!

If you bring this article with you to Animal Services, Jewel can be yours for the low fee of $25.  And, remember, every single one of the pets offered for adoption at Animal Services are spayed or neutered and have all of their required shots. And, this week, we are bursting at the seams with many adorable and adoptable pets to choose from!

Now is a great time to start thinking about holiday events… and we’re having a great one at Pinellas County Animal Services. On Saturday, December 8thfrom 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., come on out to the Pinellas Paws Cause. Get your pet’s photo with Santa Paws, taste some delicious food, get $20 pet adoptions and check out the progress of the Murals for Mutts program. If you would like to have your pet’s image painted on the mural, a portion of your $100 contribution will help benefit the Animal Welfare Fund.
