Crosswalks Getting Updated in Treasure Island

Starting on January 14, three Treasure Island Crosswalks will be getting updated.

Starting Monday January 14, three Treasure Island crosswalks will be getting an update from the Florida Department of Transportation.

The existing crosswalks at 100th Avenue, 110th Avenue and the midblock crosswalk between 124th and 125th Avenues will be upgraded with new safety features.

The 100th Avenue crosswalk will get two new pedestrian refuge islands and a resurfacing.

The 110th Avenue crosswalk will get one new pedestrian refuge island and a resurfacing.

The crosswalk between 124th and 125th Avenues will have the existing concrete island replaced with a pedestrian refuge island and a resurfacing.

The 100th Avenue crosswalk work is planned to start January 14 and continue until January 18. The 110th Avenue and 124th and 125th Avenues crosswalks will have construction begin on January 21 and finish on February 1.

There will be lane closures in the area where the work is taking place.
