Broken Part Blamed For Treasure Island Bridge Closure

A broken cylinder caused the drawbridge to get stuck in the up position last weekend, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

A broken cylinder is being blamed for last weekend's closure of the Treasure Island drawbridge, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Transportation officials told the newspaper they aren't sure what caused the part to break, which left the bridge stuck in the up position.

Cars can now pass over the bridge, and boats can get through on the western side, the Times reports.
