Seabird Sanctuary Employees Say Donations Disappeared

Former employees of the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary are saying that founder Ralph Heath took donations without accounting for it.

The Seabird Sanctuary has been hitting some hard times financially, but former employees say that founder Ralph Heath might be making the situation worse.

Former employees of the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary said that  Heath took money from the donation boxes, according to TBO.com.

One employee found Heath taking money out of the donation boxes during a time when the employees weren't being paid.

Another former employee who worked at Heath's beach house for extra money claimed to find four or five shoeboxes full of small bills.

The former chief fundraiser, Michelle Simoneau, said she had restricted access to certain donation boxes that Heath collected from.

A former volunteer, Bambi Foy, claimed that Heath took the money from the donation boxes home with him and spends it on himself.
