Gmail Problems? You're Not Alone

Google-based email service seems to be jammed today, with folks reporting delays.

Gmail users are having the virtual version of a traffic jam on the Internet today. Delays and slowdowns are the norm for many users trying to send and receive mail.

If there's comfort in numbers, then take solace. There are many other email users like yourself pumping the send button and getting delayed or no response. From Tampa Bay to Topeka, Gmail is KO'd mail for many.

“Right now your mother is trying in vain to email you about Gmail being down,” the Comedy Central network tweeted on its Twitter feed a short while ago.

Word on what is causing the problem isn’t readily available. 

As Google works through the problems, the basic HTML version of Gmail sems to be working. Here is the link to sign in using this stripped-down version: http://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=html
