Could the Beach Theatre Reopen?

While the Beach Theatre is closed, there are hopes that it will reopen and be better than ever.

The Beach Theatre, which has stood since 1940, closed its doors in late November.

The doors may not be closed for good if residents have anything to say about it.

Currently, owner Mike France is looking into options to reopen the theater in the future, according to an article from Bay News 9.

The Corey Corners shop on Corey Avenue also posted on Patch's previous article, Don't give up on the theatre just yet. Someone out there does care. :-)

The Beach Theatre's marquee is currently set up to wish the supporters well with "Thanks for the memories".

The Beach Theatre opened on January 15, 1940 with the film Dust Be My Destiny. Since then, the film has been continuously and playing movies every week, save for a year-and-a-half during World War II, when they were told by the military to suspend operations.
