Cafe de Paris Celebrates 10 Years!

For the past 10 years, Cafe de Paris Bakery in Indian Rocks Beach has been tantalizing taste buds with rich and golden French pastries such as brioche, croissants, beignets and freshly prepared crepes.

"Our most popular crepe is the Cafe de Paris," Master Baker Xavier De Marchi said. The Cafe de Paris is filled with Nutella, bananas and topped with whipped cream - and covers the entire plate.

Xavier is the mastermind behind the freshly prepared goodies at the bakery. He not only has 35 years of baking experience, his personality is enough to lure customers back before taking the first bite. Xavier loves what he does and shows it while preparing fresh crepes for customers.

"I started baking when I was 15. I was good with my hands, so I choose to be a baker," he said.

Xavier and his wife Valerie opened up Cafe De Paris 10 years ago and celebrated their milestone with a gathering at the bakery in February. Their son, Luigi, completes this family-run business.

When asked, "What's your secret to success," Xavier responds with "If I tell you, it's not a secret." Valerie, on the other hand, is more willing to share a few pointers.

"Don't change anything," Valerie said.

Valerie says they started with quality ingredients at an affordable price and . . . kept it that way.

Cafe de Paris is located at 2300 Gulf Blvd. in Indian Rocks Beach. You can reach the bakery at (727) 593-0277 or email at cafedeparisbakery@gmail.com.
