Sanding Ovations Masters Cup Makes Art Out of Sand

The Fourth Sanding Ovations Masters Cup Will be going on November 14-18.

The Sanding Ovations Master's Cup is an invitational competition that brings forth the best in the business. Artists spend hours upon hours prepping their masterpieces for judging. 

The Sanding Ovations Masters Cup brings internationally renowned sand artists to Treasure Island behind the Bilmar Resort to creat magnificent pieces of art out of sand.

Meredith Corson and Dan Doubleday, both residents of Treasure Island, own and operate Sanding Ovations. Corson and Doubleday travel to hundreds of events each year to showcase their unmatched abilities. They were responsible for the previous Masters Cups events, as well as the sand sculptures of the White House and Abraham Lincoln for the RNC.

The event starts on Wednesday, November 14 and ends Sunday, November 18. People visting will be able to see the artists create their works from the ground up. 

At the end of the event, the sculptures will be judged and the top four sculptures and a “people’s choice” sculpture will be awarded over $12,000.

The event will be going on all weekend and all day beach parking will be available for $10.
