TV's 'Below Deck' Star Stops By St. Pete Beach Bar

Tampa Bay native Adrienne Gang from the hit Bravo TV reality show stopped by the Undertow on St. Pete Beach to celebrate her roots.

Chef Adrienne Gang stopped by the Undertow on St. Pete Beach Monday for a watch party for the airing of the fifth episode of the popular Bravo TV series, "Below Deck."

The show was filmed during a six-month period and chronicles a group of crew members living and working aboard “Honor,” a 164-foot mega-yacht. Gang, 29, a Tampa Bay native, is the chief stewardess on the yacht.

Patch caught up with Gang for a quick Q&A during her visit to St. Pete Beach:

Patch: For folks who don't know, what is Below Deck?
Adrienne Gang: "
Andy Cohen calls it the 'Downton Abbey' of yachting. It's basically the upstairs downstairs view of how the guests live on the yacht and conversely the way the crew lives, loves and learns together."

Patch: What can people expect if they tune in?
AG: "Madness. It is crazy! Between the interesting guests and the crazy crew, get ready for drama and mayhem at every turn!"

Patch: How much longer is the show on for?
AG: "After Monday night's episode we have four more action-packed drama filled suspense driven episodes left!"

Patch: Are there any teasers you can give us for the remainder of the season?
AG: "Where to start?! Someone doesn't make it till the end of the charter season..."

Patch: For you, what was the most memorable moment during the filming of Below Deck's first season?
AG: "Probably when Kat, Ben, Aleks and I were sitting around and Ben was talking about the guests' itinerary and yelling (after a couple drinks) about 'another massage!' I still laugh about that."

Patch: How did you get into the yachting industry?
AG: "Luck. I had someone who wanted a private chef give me a chance on a yacht."

Patch: What's the best thing about your job?
AG: "Definitely the locations. I have been lucky enough to work in some of the most amazing and beautiful places on the planet. Martinique is still my favorite."

Patch: What about your least favorite part of the job?
AG: "Laundry. Hands down. No one likes ironing for 16 hours a day."

Patch: You're from the Tampa Bay area, so what's your favorite place on the beach?
AG: "My favorite restaurant is definitely Island Way Grill. Their Frankie's tuna roll is transcendent. As far as chill beach bar spots, the Undertow. There is something there for everyone and their jukebox rocks!"

Patch: Will there be a second season of Below Deck folks can look forward to?
AG: "I hope so! Fingers crossed!"

Below Deck airs on Mondays at 10 p.m. on Bravo
