: It's was a full house tonight for a social media marketing party, where guests got Power Tips and learned why it makes business sense to play on social media. The Pier was the place to be for the Ultimate Social Media Extravaganza for small businesses and nonprofits.

: It's been over two years since the BP oil spill happened in the Gulf, but the beach communities haven't forgotten. St. Pete Beach is the first of the beach communities to sue BP over the massive oil spill in the Gulf in 2010.

: While having fun at the beach this summer, it might be a good idea to leave your canine friend at home this year. With the heat rising on the beach, it's important to care for our pets and to not leave them in a car for extended periods of time.

: Recently, two people have drowned in Gulf off of Pass-A-Grille. One of the drownings was a seven-year-old child.With a number of drownings occurring on the beaches lately, we want to know if the beaches are safe?

: Pinellas County is currently at 3.24 pedestrian deaths per 100,000 people while the national average is 1.59 and the Sheriff's Department is looking to make that number go down. The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office received $70,000 to continue a pedestrian safety grant that began in 2010.
