Capri and Palm Bridges Construction Begins Jan. 21

The two sixty-year old bridges in Treasure Island will be replaced in a construction effort that will take ten months.

Construction on the replacements for the Capri Isle and Isle of the Palm bridges in Treasure Island is scheduled to begin later this month on January 21.

Both of the new bridges will be built at the same time, and the old bridges will be demolished as soon as the south half of the new bridges are completed.

Construction  will affect traffic on 112th and 116th Avenues and traffic will share one lane throughout the entirety of the project, which is expected to last 10 months.
