Another Cold Front Headed Our Way

Don't put away that sweater so fast. A cool, breezy weekend will be followed by another cold spell in the Tampa Bay area.

That cold weather that has many locals trading flipflops for – gasp! – shoes and socks is going to linger a while longer.

The National Weather Service is reporting that the weather will warm to the low 70s on Saturday and Sunday during the daytime, but then dip again as a strong cold front arrives in the region Monday.

The wind and surf along the Gulf beaches remains strong, though the gusts will begin to subside Saturday afternoon. Hazardous conditions remain along the Florida Gulf beaches, with the chance of rip currents high.

Expect breezy and cool temperatures through Sunday, with the cold front hitting the region Monday through the middle of next week.
