Pinellas Park Medical District Celebrates 1st Anniversary

The Pinellas Park Medical District (PPMD), an organization created to promote healthcare services available in Pinellas Park, celebrates its first anniversary this August. PPMD was officially launched in August of 2012 when it participated in the Pinellas County Osteopathic Medical Society’s annual health fair.

Organized in early 2012, PPMD began as an alliance of medical physicians, practices and businesses. With an influx and wide selection of top rated healthcare facilities and resources in Pinellas Park, the organization was created to educate local residents and encourage the utilization of the top-notch services in their area.

The PPMD will celebrate its first anniversary when it participates in the Pinellas Park Health Fair for the second year in a row. Taking place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, at the St. Petersburg College Caruth Education Center, the health fair is open to the public and free for all children under 19. Attendees will have access to free back to school physicals, sports participation exams, immunizations and hearing and vision screenings.
