Today on The Beaches: 'Walk Like MADD,' Rays Tickets, Wet Weather

It's Friday, Oct. 4th! Here's what you need to know today on the beaches.

"Walk Like MADD": The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is teaming up with MADD Friday night for the annual "Walk Like MADD" event on Indian Rocks Beach. People can still register the day of for $15 for ages 5-20 and $20 for participants 21 and over. The event begins at Beach Park at 17th Ave and Guld Blvd. from 5 - 9 p.m.

Discount Dogs: Looking for a furry new friend? If so, you might want to check out the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. The nonprofit organization is playing host to a month-long adoption special. Throughout October, it only costs $31 to adopt a dog. For more details, check out the Humane Society online.

Get Your Rays Tickets: Want to cheer on the Rays in Game 3 of the American League Division Series at Tropicana Field? If so, single-game tickets go on sale today, Oct. 4. Sales start at 1 p.m., according to the Rays’ website.

Wet Weather Possible: It looks like the break from wet weather might be coming to an end. The National Weather Service says we have about a 30 percent chance of storms today, Oct. 4, in both the daytime and evening hours. Storms are expected to be scattered throughout the Bay area. On the upside, the high shouldn’t break that 90-degree mark.
