The Pier Aquarium presents this week-long camp for children ages 9 to 14 who are curious about dolphins. Campers will meet animal behaviorist and dolphin researcher Ann Weaver, Ph.D., to learn about the amazing bottlenose dolphins that she has identified and studied over the years.
They’ll also go out on a boat for morning photos safaris with Weaver in search of dolphins, manatee, turtles, birds of prey and shore and sea birds. They will learn how to observe, recognize different species of animals and record information that can be used for population biology studies, the aquarium says.
Limited to 60 campers. Before- and after-care available for an additional fee. Snacks provided.
