Sand Key to Pass-A-Grille in Under 3 Minutes
Join us for a tour down Gulf Boulevard and through the beaches at over 500 miles per hour!
Do you ever wish you could coast down Gulf Boulevard from the edge of Clearwater Beach to the Don Cesar in the period of one pop song?
Unfortunately, you can't really do that (at least in no legal way), but you can at least watch it being done.
Here at Pinellas Beaches Patch, we wanted to give you a tour of the most prominent road on the beaches and do it in a special way. We hooked up a camera to our vehicle and sped along the road at the speed limit the whole way.
The result was a 45 minute video detailing the trip from Sand Key to Pass-A-Grille. Since it's not really interesting to see 45 minutes of beach road, no matter how beautiful they are, we sped the footage up by 1600 percent to cut the time to two and a half minutes.
Enjoy the speedy tour video of all the beaches we cover. Maybe one day we'll be able to traverse that amount of ground that quickly in real time.
If you have some great video from Gulf Boulevard, make sure to upload it as well. We'd love to see it!

Unfortunately, that was an editing oversight with one of the titles. I'll have an updated version coming shortly.

..next you need to do a beach crawl version of this that many of us can relate to. I can never do that drive without a few ''stops'' along the way at the many funnest places to go in the world.

That was cool, it reminded me of Google Street View, which I used a lot while in Kansas looking at places to buy here before I recently moved here about 5 months ago.

I'm glad you liked it. I thought of highlighting some side areas, but I ran out of tape as it was! I might try one focused on only one community at a time.

Very interesting. You say you ran out of 'tape'. Make sure to go to the very end of Pass-a-Grille next time. I think your above idea ('focusing on one community at a time' and highlighting some side areas') is a great idea. Good luck with that...

Thanks! I did go all the way to the end of Pass-A-Grille and then realized I was out of space. I'd love to do one completely on Pass-A-Grille!
