Patch Minute: World Beer Festival, Johns Pass, Chili Cookoff
We have food, drinks, entertainment and more in this week's Patch Minute!
If you haven't already, be sure to spend a day at Johns Pass at Madiera Beach! Johns Pass has more than 100 merchants including unique stores, the allegator attraction, several restaurants and local fishing and dolphin watching tours. And there's plenty to keep the kids busy - hop on a pirate ship, rent a waverunner or just let them hang out in the new arcade.
Looking to entertain your tastebuds this weekend? Tickets are $40 and they are still available for the World Beer Festival in downtown St. Pete. Come out on Saturday at the historic Coliseum from 12 - 4 p.m. Guests can sample up to 120 craft beers and there will be live entertainment.
Love chili? What about salsa? Stop by the Fourth Annual Industrial Strength Chili Cookoff at the Industrial Arts Center on Saturday from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. Gulfport Patch Editor Cherlene Willis will be part of the judges panel! Tickets are $9 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under. Tickets include drinks, door prizes and taste testing. If you're hoping to enter in the chii or salsa contest, last minute entries will be accepted until Friday at noon. For information, visit the IAC online at www.IndustrialArtsCenter.org or call 727-289-9365.
See you on Saturday!
