Lawn Watering Restrictions Lifted

Pinellas County's reclaimed water system is back in operation.

It's now OK to water your lawn using reclaimed water. For the past few weeks, residents in Belleair Beach, Indian Rocks Beach, Indian Shore, Sand Key and other northern Pinellas county communities were able to use reclaimed water only on a very limited basis.

Increased rainfall and water conservation have boosted reclaimed water levels high enough to allow the system to return to full operation beginning today.

Pinellas County's Utilities Department still encourages people to water their lawns every other day to conserve water.

The voluntary watering schedule is as follows:

  • House numbers ending in an even number (0, 2, 4, 6, 8) water on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
  • All others water on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Pinellas County Utilities suggests that residents not water their lawns between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
