Howard Frankland, Courtney Campbell Open Tues. Morning

The roadways, as well as the Gandy Bridge, are open to traffic, but the Sunshine Skyway Bridge is still closed due to Tropical Storm Debby's winds.

The Howard Frankland and Gandy bridges and the Courtney Campbell Causeway remained open to traffic as of 7:40 a.m. Tuesday, officials said.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers will be monitoring flooding and surf conditions throughout the day as tropical storm conditions remain possible, FHP spokesperson Sgt. Steve Gaskins said.

The Sunshine Skyway Bridge, which connects Pinellas and Manatee counties, remained closed Tuesday morning.

State Road 589 remains closed in both directions from State Road 50 to U.S. Hwy. 98 due to flooding.

Motorists can check FHP’s live crash and road condition report at flhsmv.gov/fhp/traffic/crs_h501.htm for these and other road closures, or call 511 for the latest and most current traffic information.
