We are new here, and we had not heard of the ''Guy Harvey Outpost''.
Anyway...the lead in to the article looked interesting, since we often use the local ''Patch'' articles to help us find fun things to do...and it does an excellent job of it.
The article said:
''The opening night's gala will include festive food and drinks, live music, a preview of the property and a fireworks display''.
It all sounded good so far....we always will try and go see the better firework displays...but then...the next line said...
''Attendance at the gala is invitation-only''
Bummer.
My point is I don't see the purpose of advertising an event that is obviously all sold out...and those who do have the ''package'' will obviously already know about it. All this article did is let us know what we are missing out on:(
Maybe we will go and crash the fireworks display and try to see it even if we are not on ''the list''. We could always pretend we are homeless and when we walk by and security tries to block our view ...we will simply hope they believe us when we promise not to look.
I may try printing this and see if it will pass as an invitation:)
Now I have to figure out how to score the free drinks...
