Democrat Candidate Voted in St. Pete Beach and Maryland
Wendy W. Rosen, a Democrat congressional candidate, was forced to resign after voting in both Maryland and St. Pete Beach.
Wendy W. Rosen, a Democrat congressional candidate, was found to have cast votes in both Maryland and St. Pete Beach in the 2006 general election and 2008 primaries, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
Rosen was forced by her party to resign after the dual-voting had been discovered.
Rosen, who owns a home on St. Pete Beach that she spends part of the year at, said that she registered to vote in St. Pete Beach to assist Nancy Markoe, a local art gallery owner.
Rosen had won the Democratic nomination for Maryland's 1st district in April.
