Beach Films and the Best Bar Lunch

: For everyone on the beaches excited to catch a look at some Hollywood celebrities this week, you'll have to wait a little longer. The new film, Spring Breakers, starring James Franco, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Benson will begin filming in Sarasota next Monday, March 12, and then move on to St. Pete Beach, according to an article from Tampabay.com.

VIP Lounge Authentic Mexican Cuisine is this week's winner in the Patch "Best of" poll on the beaches. The Treasure Island bar and restaurant took 33 percent of the vote to Sloppy Joe's and Caddy's on the Beach, which tied with each getting 26 percent of the vote.

There are also the few who get to remember spending the summer at the pool and getting paid for it. The St. Pete Beach Recreation Center is starting their lifeguard certification courses for those interested in becoming a lifeguard.
