Caddy's has live music, beautiful sunsets and food to boot. More importantly, for the vegetarians out there, they have a lot of menu options that will suit your diet.

Vegetarian options can be great for meat eaters too. Who doesn't love a good vegetable plate with ranch dip on the side? Or how about a basket of sweet potato fries? Caddy's on the Beach offers these dishes and more, in addition to their beautiful atmosphere.

Dive in to the black bean burger ($7.49) at Caddy's for a tasty treat. The burger is grilled to perfection and served on a fresh bun. I like to add sautéed mushrooms to mine for a simple $.75 plus a slice of cheddar cheese ($.50). Sweet potato fries are a nice accompaniment, but other side items to choose from include: potato salad, curly fries, steak fries, coleslaw, baked beans or veggies. Lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle are served on the side so that you can dress your burger however you wish.

About this column: Each week, we will feature a selected food item from an area restaurant. Check out our weekly find and discover where you can enjoy great food and delicious drinks in your neck of the woods.
